I will be the first to admit that I am a premium dog food snob.  It’s not that I do not believe that there aren’t cheaper dog food outs there that aren’t good, I just personally prefer premium dog foods.  Coming from someone who has fed both types of dog feeds, both premium and non-premium, I have personally had more success with my dogs on premium dog feeds.  I’ve seen shinier coats, higher energy levels, clearer eyes, and better health records on dogs that I’ve either owned, worked with, or known.
I strongly believe that there is no one “best” dog food.  Every dog is different, and there is no one dog food brand that will guarantee that your dog lives a longer life.  While one dog might do really well on a super expensive dog feed, another might suffer from continuous vomiting and diarrhea on the exact same diet.
